Ashley Michelle Ward and Ronald Christopher McLaughlin of Raleigh were married on November 9, 2002, at five o'clock in the evening during a candlelight ceremony at Friendship Baptist Church in Raleigh. A private reception, hosted by the bride's parents, was held at the Homewood Suites Hotel. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William M. Gray of Raleigh, and Mr. and Mrs. Howard E. Ward of Star. Parents of the groom are Mrs. Martha McLaughlin Taylor of Raleigh, the late Mr. John L. Taylor, and the late Mr. Ronald H. McLaughlin. On Friday evening, a rehearsal dinner, given by the groom's mother, was held at Bogart's in downtown Raleigh. On Saturday morning, a bridesmaids' breakfast, given by the bride's aunts, Mrs. Esther Hunt and Mrs. Sylvia Campbell, and the bride's cousin, Mrs. Debi Jones, was held at The Wagner House in Clayton. The bride and groom are the owners and operators of Sandi's Florist in Garner. After a honeymoon cruise in the Caribbean, the couple will live in Raleigh.
