Goodmon - Brame

Anna Frances Brame of Durham and James Fletcher Goodmon Jr. were married October 12, 2002, at six o'clock in the evening at Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church in Durham. The Reverend Samuel Alison Mason and The Reverend Joseph Gerard Vetter officiated. After the ceremony a reception was held at the American Tobacco Campus in Durham. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Ballard Brame Jr. of Durham. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Thomas Wray Wilkinson of Durham and the late Mr. Thomas Wray Wilkinson, and Mr. and Mrs. James Ballard Brame of Durham. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. James Fletcher Goodmon of Raleigh. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Michael Lyons of Memphis, Tennessee, and the late Mr. Raymond Hayes Goodmon Jr. and the late Mrs. Betty Lou Fletcher Goodmon of Raleigh. Sister of the bride, Amy Brame Stanfield of Durham, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Rachel Leanne Bowes, Alice Bynum Brame, Elizabeth Scott McNab Brisson, and Katherine Taylor Stukes of Chapel Hill, Helen Lane Dilg of New Haven, Connecticut, Jessica Anne Cake of Charlotte, Wortley Lawrence Forbes of Wilson, Ashley Barber Gaylord of Raleigh, Elizabeth Hodges Kohler of New York, and Elizabeth Goodmon McIntyre of New Bern. Flower girls were Abigail Elizabeth Mangum and Rebecca Parnell Rouse of Durham. James Fletcher Goodmon served as his son's best man. Groomsmen were Michael Johnston Goodmon, David Alan Scully, and Brent McCallum Wright of Raleigh, John Pendleton Goodwin of Washington, D.C., Sheppard Allen McKenzie IV of Chapel Hill, Kurt Marcus Michelle of Birmingham, Alabama, Frank Fielding Muir Jr. of New York, Jeffrey Berger Pollock of Atlanta, Burke Dylan Sanders of Virginia Beach, and Mercer Fales Stanfield of Durham. Nephew of the groom, Michael Lawrence McIntyre of New Bern served as ring bearer. Kristen Shore Bourn of Durham was the greeter. Readers were Ashlee Renee Lawson of Durham, and Bonner Gardner Gaylord of Raleigh. Aaron Steven Wilkinson of Durham was the crucifer. The groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner on October 11, 2002, at the Exploris Museum. The bride graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a third year Medical Student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The groom graduated from Hampden-Sydney College. He is the Program and Special Events manager at WRAL. After a honeymoon trip to Las Ventanas in Los Cabos, Mexico, the couple will live in Durham.
