Phelan - Strattman
Erica Marie Strattman and Shane Matthew Phelan of Raleigh were married October 5, 2002, at five o'clock in the afternoon at Christ Episcopal Church in Greenville, South Carolina. The Reverend Christopher Ditzenberger officiated. A reception was held at Green Valley Country Club in Greenville, South Carolina. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Harold Strattman of Greenville, South Carolina, and the late Brenda Carr Strattman. She is the granddaughter of the late Willard and Hilda Carr of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Strattman of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. John Phillip Phelan of Garner. He is the grandson of Mrs. Aldean Corwin of Peoria, Illinois, and the late Mr. James Corwin, and Mr. and Mrs. John Phelan of Peoria, Illinois. Ms. Kelly Melissa Pittman of Greenville, South Carolina, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ms. Julie Elaine Roughton of Atlanta, Georgia, Mrs. Janet M. Bogle of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Ms. Brehyan Dee Phelan of Garner, and Ms. Amanda Denise Cox, Ms. Jennifer Cameron Stewart, and Ms. Courtney Rebecca Taylor, of Raleigh. Emma Rose Watson of Garner served as flower girl. Mr. Kevin Thomas Scott of Raleigh served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Matthew Albert Angel of Greensboro, Mr. Henry Clark Ward of Chapel Hill, Mr. Paxton James Corwin of Champaign, Illinois, Mr. Nicholas Major Corwin of Arlington Heights, Illinois, and Mr. David Donald Johnson and Mr. Mitchell William Chadwick of Raleigh. The bride and groom graduated from North Carolina State University. After a honeymoon cruise, the couple will reside in Apex.
