Jennifer Ronna Barrett of Raleigh and Kevin Burch Taylor of Merry Hill were married Saturday, October 12, 2002, at five o'clock in the afternoon under the oak trees at the home of the bride's parents. Reverend Torrance Osgood officiated the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Eugene Barrett of Oak City. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burch Taylor of Merry Hill. Sister of the bride, Elizabeth Hines Barrett of Raleigh, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride, Sharon Marie Braddy of Raleigh, Jennifer Leigh Ledford of Hickory, Brandyn Waters Sorie of Scotland Neck, and Harriet Everett Turner of Greenville. Cousin of the bride, Hannah Elizabeth Whitehurst of Midland, Michigan, served as the flower girl. Robert Burch Taylor served as his son's best man. Groomsmen were brother of the groom, Robert Glen Taylor of Henderson; and friends of the groom, Jeffrey Kirk Mason of Edenton, Kelly Freeman Perry of Colerain, and Jeffrey Robert Stilley of Greenville. Cousin of the bride, James Alexander Whitehurst of Midland, Michigan, served as ring bearer. Mrs. Roy Frank Lynch of Matthews served as wedding director. The bride received an undergraduate and Master of Business Administration degrees from Meredith College. Jennifer is an Application Product Specialist with Misys Healthcare Systems in Raleigh. The groom attended Hampden Sydney and East Carolina University. Kevin works with FedEx Ground in Greenville as an Operations Manager. After a wedding trip to St. Maarten, the couple will live in Washington, North Carolina.
