Spencer - Justesen

Fredrika Elizabeth Justesen and Benjamin Sloan Spencer of Morrisville were married October 5, 2002 at five-thirty in the evening at Centenary United Methodist Church in Winton-Salem. Reverend Roland Barnhardt officiated. A reception was held at Forsyth Country Club. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max L. Barnhardt Jr. of Winston-Salem, and Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin R. Justesen of Alexandria, Virginia. She is the granddaughter of the late Doris McKenzie Pridgen and the late William Thomas Pridgen, and Mrs. Elizabeth M. Justesen of Dunn and the late Wayne Q. Justesen Sr. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Edward Spencer of Raleigh. He is the grandson of the late William P. Hollowell and Inez S. Hollowell, and Mrs. Pauline P. Spencer of Gastonia and the late William S. Spencer Jr. Friend of the bride, Beth Meisinger of Athens, Georgia, served as maid of honor. She is attending graduate school at the University of Georgia. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride, Amy Anderson and Heather Turner of Durham, Valerie Bennett of Macon, Elizabeth Thomas of Santee, California, and Sabrina Torres and Kristel Tripp of Morrisville; and sisters of the groom, Joanna Spencer of Butner and Kim Wheeler of Gastonia. Niece of the groom, Taylor Wheeler of Gastonia, was the junior bridesmaid. Nieces of the bride, Cameron and Maggie Barnhardt of Winston-Salem; and niece of the groom, Grace Wheeler of Gastonia, served as flower girls. Robert Edward Spencer served as his son's best man. Groomsmen were stepbrother of the bride, Lloyd Barnhardt of Winston-Salem; friends of the groom, John Everett of Nags Head, Travis Green of Atlanta, Craig Jackson of Chapel Hill, Bryan Jones of Morrisville, Josh McGee of Durham, and Phillip Wallace of Raleigh; brother-in-law of the bride, Rick Lasker of Richmond, Virginia; cousins of the bride, Josh Turner of Chapel Hill and Dr. Will Turner of Durham; and brother-in-law of the groom, Tim Wheeler of Gastonia. Nephew of the groom, Josh Wheeler of Gastonia served as ring bearer. Denise Gregory provided floral arrangements. Organist Ray Ebert provided music. The bride graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a consultant with Deloitte Consulting. The groom is currently attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After a honeymoon trip to Aruba, the couple will live in Morrisville.
