Elisebeth Ryves Rogers and Ronald Clifford Fowler Jr. of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, were married September 28, 2002, at five-thirty in the afternoon at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in High Point. The Reverend Barry Phillip Osborne officiated. A dinner and dance reception was held at the J.H. Adams Inn in High Point. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Wilson Rogers of High Point. She is the granddaughter of Mr. Warren Jackson Rives and the late Mrs. Elizabeth Stuckey Rives, and Mrs. Joseph Wilson Rogers and the late Mr. Rogers of High Point. Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Clifford Fowler of Raleigh. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Nelson Fowler of Charlotte, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Claude S. Fowler of Great Falls, South Carolina. The bride's sister-in-law, Mrs. Kendall Trull Rogers of Wilmington, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ms. Jessica Ann Cake of Cornelius; Ms. Sara Elizabeth Patterson of Charlotte; Ms. Anna Ramsey Rives of Atlanta; Ms. Katherine Helen Robinson of Eldorado Springs, Colorado; and the groom's sister, Mrs. Catherine Fowler Ussery of Columbia, South Carolina. Ronald Clifford Fowler served as his son's best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Williams Ball of Raleigh; Warren Jackson Rives III of Ketchum, Idaho; Jefferson Hill Rives Jr. of High Point; the bride's brother, Raymond Hill Rogers of Wilmington; and the groom's brother-in-law, William Todd Ussery of Columbia, South Carolina. Kristian Leigh Bissette of Raleigh served as the reader. Greeters were Molly Elizabeth Kelly of Raleigh and Mary Claire Dattilo of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. A rehearsal dinner, given by the groom's parents, was held Friday, September 27, 2002, at The String and Splinter Club in High Point. The bride graduated from the College of Textiles at North Carolina State University. She is employed as a salon consultant with Columbia Beauty Supply in Charleston, South Carolina. The groom graduated from Broughton High School and attended North Carolina State University. He is employed as an engineer with Moran Towing Company in Charleston, South Carolina. After a honeymoon cruise to the Mexican Riviera, the couple will reside in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
