Dwight and LaVerne Curry of Lawrence celebrated their 50th anniversary Dec. 26, 2002.
In celebration they took a trip with friends to Hilton Head, S.C., and also celebrated with their children and grandchildren.
Curry and the former LaVerne were former residents of Barton County where they farmed for many years.
They were former owners of Curry Homes Inc. in Great Bend.
Their children are Myrna Schrepel of Hoisington and Kevin Curry of Baldwin.
There grandchildren are Chadd, Todd, and Angela Schrepel of Hoisington.
Curry is a trim carpenter in Lawrence and LaVerne works as associate cashier for Westlake Hardware in Lawrence.
