Blount 50th Wedding Anniversary
A 50th Wedding Anniversary reception honoring Betty and Melvin Blount will be held from 2:30 p.m to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 8th, 2001 at the Sherwood Church of Christ in Odessa.
The reception will be hosted by their children - Sheila Kilgore of Odessa, Melva Williams Lane and husband Rob from Grand Junction, Colorado, Darla White and husband Dennis from Pearland, Texas and Howard Blount and wife Pam from Odessa.
Melvin Blount and Betty Rider were married on April 7, 1951 in Carlsbad, New Mexico and lived in Odessa most of their married life.
They retired to Brownwood until moving to Coleman last year.
They came out of retirement several years back to work for the U.S. Corps of Engineers and are currently located at Hords Creek Lake in Coleman.
