Steve & Amber Shepherd

Rev. and Mrs. Louis W. Shepherd of Russell Springs announce the marriage of their grandson, Stephen Louis Shepherd, II of Somerset on July 15, 2000.

The bride is Amber Canipe, daughter of Michael Canipe of North Carolina and foster parents, Dlois and Eugene Hollis of Burnside.

The vows were said in Main Street Baptist Church in Burnside with Steve's grandfather, Louis W. Shepherd officiating.

The wedding music was played by Steve's father, Stephen Louis Shepherd I, and special vocalists were Amber's pastor, Rev. Mike Prater and friend Dan Brown.

The ring bearer was Austin Shadoan, nephew of the groom, and the flower girl was Alisha Kidd friend of the bride.

The bell ringer was Logan Jordan nephew of the bride.

The bridal court included Beckie Sowder, Maid of Honor, Karen Nichols, Stevie Sapp, and the groom's men were Jason Phelps, best man, Kenny Gumm and Lamar Adams.

After a short honeymoon in southern Kentucky and Tennessee, they are at home on Owens Ferry Road, Somerset.

Amber works in a store and Steve wires office buildings all across Kentucky for all types of office machines for GTE.
