ROCKVILLE, Md. — Julia Emerson Clasper of Potomac and Nicholas Michael Donato of German-town were united in marriage Oct. 20 at St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church.
The bride is the daughter of Geoffrey and Elizabeth Clasper of Chapel Hill, N.C.
The bridegroom is the son of Anthony J. and Veronica E. Do-nato of Manahawkin, formerly of Sparta.
Archbishop Denis Madden of Baltimore and the Rev. Grant Gaskin of St. Raphael officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony. Music was provided by the musicians and choir of St. Raphael Church; the bride is a member of the choir. The bride's aunt, Gail Mix, and cousins Dorian Mix and Monica Mix, presented the gifts. Douglas Clasper, uncle of the bride, and Michael Egan, uncle of the groom, presented the readings.
Erin Williams, sister of the bride, of Silver Spring, was matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Kathleen Finizio, sister of the groom, of Lake Hiawatha; Alana Donato, sister-in-law of the groom, of Princeton; Ana Sifonios of Lincoln Park; Margaret Morganelli of Philadelphia; and Kristin Woo and Mary Stevenson, both of Potomac.
The best men were the groom's father, Anthony Donato, and his brother, Joseph Donato of Princeton. The groomsmen were Geoffrey Clasper, brother of the bride, of Bethesda; Kevin Williams, brother-in-law of the bride, of Silver Spring; Joseph Finizio, brother-in-law of the groom, of Lake Hiawatha; Ryan Laguna, cousin of the groom, of Scotch Plains; Jonathan Scott of Lawrenceville; Richard Cronin of Bloomfield; and Dustin Eichler of Los Angeles.
A reception was held at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda.
The couple make their home in Germantown.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Thomas S. Wooten High School in Potomac and received her bachelor of music degree, magna cum laude, from Rider University's Westminster Choir College in Lawrenceville in 2005. She teaches music at Ridgeview Middle School in Gaithersburg.
The bridegroom graduated from Pope John XXIII Regional High School in 1999 and received his bachelor of science degree from Seton Hall University's Stillman School of Business in South Orange in 2003. He is employed as a senior account executive and consultant for Canon USA in Arlington, Va.
