Joneses mark 50th anniversary

WANTAGE — David R. and Jean Beemer Jones of Beemerville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary May 25.
Married at the Newton Presbyterian Church in the spring of 1957, the couple celebrated with a reception at the Beemerville Fire House.
Jean Jones grew up in Beemerville.
Her husband grew up in Morristown and Dover.
David Jones retired in 1996 from Jersey Central Power & Light, where he worked for 40 years.
Jean Jones worked for High Point Regional High School for 27 years; she also retired in 1996.
The couple are active members of the Sparta United Methodist Church.
The couple has three daughters, Kathy Gelston of Branchville, Kim Green of Sandyston and Karen Van der Groef of Wantage.
They have seven grandchildren, Hollie and Kirk Gelston; Steven and Kevin Green; and Jenna, Dustin and Kelsey Van der Groef.
The couple, along with their entire family, plan to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a private dinner party.
At a later date, they will all travel to Disneyworld in Florida to continue the celebration.
