Weemstras married 50 years

WANTAGE — Margaret and Albert Weemstra celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a gathering hosted by their children and families on April 14 at the Beemerville Firehouse.
The celebration included their best man, Klaas Otten, and Albert Weemstra's sister and brother-in-law from the Netherlands.
Margaret Kuiper and Albert Weemstra were married April 12, 1957, in Clifton.
The couple have four daughters, Irene and her husband, Donnie, of Wantage, Helene and her husband, Tom, of Yorktown, Va., Janet and her husband, Paul, of Ogdensburg, and Nancy and her husband, Troy, of Branchville.
They also have 10 grandchildren.
Albert Weemstra retired from Laborers Local 913 after 27 years.
Margaret Weemstra retired after working as a seamstress at Morley Shirt Factory.
The couple are members of Christian Reformed Church of Sussex Borough.
