Mr. and Mrs. Picot married 50 years

BASKING RIDGE — Donald and Marilyn Picot of Chester celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a gathering hosted by their children, Sharon Parks of Green, David Picot of Franklin Lakes, Walter Picot of Boonton and John Picot of Rockaway, on Sept. 24 at the Grain House.
Donald Picot and the former Marilyn Piccola, daughter of Joseph and Ruth Piccola, were married at the Vienna Methodist Church in Vienna on Sept. 24, 1956.
The couple are both retired. Donald worked as a metal trades instructor at Warren County Vocation Technical High School and Marilyn worked as a secretary for AT&T; in Basking Ridge.
The couple, who met at Hackettstown High School and graduated there in 1956, have eight grandchildren.
