Sabisches celebrate 50 years

VERNON — Mary Patricia and Roman "Ray" Sabisch recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

The couple were united in marriage on Jan. 19, 1957, at St. Angela Merici Roman Catholic Church in the Bronx.

Ray Sabisch retired from Lanier Worldwide, where he worked as a regional service manager for many years.

He is employed as a driving instructor for the local school district.

The Sabisches have lived in Glenwood for 30 years.

Their children and grandchildren live in New Jersey, Virginia and Florida.

The couple will continue their celebration on a family cruise in the western Caribbean in March.
