Mr. and Mrs. Oskamp celebrate 50th wedding anniversary

PORT JERVIS, N.Y. — Richard and June Oskamp of Sussex Borough celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the Erie Trackside Manor on April 1.
The event was hosted by their children and grandchildren.
Richard Oskamp, the son of Dirk and Elsie Oskamp, and June DeJong, the daughter of Aaron and Alice DeJong, were married Feb. 3, 1956, at the Preakness Chris-tian Reformed Church.
The couple met when Richard stopped to talk to June after church.
The couple have four children, Diane Maxey of Caledonia, Mich., Richard Os-kamp Jr. of Rutland, Vt., Judith Howell of Wantage and Kenneth Oskamp of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., and eight grandchildren.
Richard Oskamp, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, retired after working as a flight engineer for Flying Tigers Airline.
June Oskamp retired from Selective Insurance.
The couple attend Sussex Christian Reformed Church.
