Sharp-Elwood marry for Sunday, November 3, 2002
Kellye Sharp, formerly of Rogers, and Nathan W. Elwood, formerly of Bella Vista, were married at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at the New Covenant Methodist Church in Edmond, Okla., by the Rev. Greg Shaw.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Nancy Campbell and Ken and Gaya Sharp, all of Rogers. She is the granddaughter of Gale and Bobbie Turney of Edmond, Dr. David A. Campbell of Oklahoma City, Roy and Rena Sharp of Mustang, Okla., and Roy and Virginia Hance of Rogers.
The groom is the son of Mark L. and Karen Elwood of Bella Vista. He is the grandson of William C. and Linda Elwood, Raymond and Loretta Ruwe and the late Millie Elwood, all of Fremont, Neb.
Chaunté Manuel of Edmond served as maid of honor. Cindy Whiteaker, sister of the bride of Bentonville, served as special attendant to the bride.
Kenny Bates of Fayetteville, formerly of Bella Vista, served as best man. Groomsmen were Floyd Reed and Josh Appeldorn, both of Fayetteville. Travis Elwood, brother of the groom of Bella Vista, served as junior groomsman.
Music was provided by organist Marilyn Wilson and soloist Barbara Holmberg.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Haunted House Restaurant in Oklahoma City.
The bride is co-owner and manager of Razorback Roller Rink in Rogers, and plans to graduate from the University of Central Oklahoma at Edmond in May 2003 with a major in sociology.
The groom is the service writer for John Holt Chevrolet in Chickasha, Okla., and holds the rank of private first class in the Arkansas Army National Guard, based in Fort Smith. He attended Northwest Arkansas Community College in Bentonville.
The couple live in Moore, Okla., and plan a cruise to the Cayman Islands in May or June 2003.
