The Joneses
Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Jones of Williamsport celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Nov. 8, 1997, at the Salvation Army Annex.
The celebration was hosted by their sons and their spouses, Dale and Shannon Jones of Boonsboro, Steve and Gail Jones of Greenville, S.C., and Richard and Kathy Jones of Martinsburg, W.Va., and by their nephew and his wife, Lacey and Barbara Simmons of Smithsburg.
The Joneses were married Nov. 1, 1947, in Kentucky.
Mrs. Jones is the former Goldie Arvella Bergdoll, daughter of the late Hattie and George Bergdoll.
She retired from Caldwell Manufacturing Co. in Williamsport.
Mr. Jones is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Jones Sr.
He is retired from Wilderness Trailers in Williamsport.
They have 6 grandchildren.
