The Shanks

Mr. and Mrs. Robert S. Shank celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Sept. 13, 1997, at Hooked on Kountry Ranch.

The celebration, in which the Shanks renewed their wedding vows, was hosted by their six children and their spouses and the couple's grandchildren.

About 70 friends and relatives attended.

The Shanks were married Sept. 26, 1947, at Rose Hill Church of God by the Rev. George A. Harne.

Mrs. Shank is the former Delores E. Deeds, daughter of the late Abraham and Alice Troxell Deeds and foster daughter of the late Leon and Mildred Hutzell Harbaugh.

Mr. Shank retired from Longmeadow Motors and had previously worked for Ken Byrds Auto Exchange for 36 years.

They have nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
