The Barretts
Edward and Helen Barrett of Hagerstown were honored for their 50th wedding anniversary with a week at a resort in Wisconsin by four of their sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Maureen Barrett, Mark and Mary Barrett, Paul and Dawn Barrett and Todd and Nancy Barrett, and by their four grandchildren. Another son, Peter Barrett, was living in Japan at the time.
Upon returning to Hagerstown, the couple renewed their vows at Saint Joseph Church in Halfway.
The Barretts were married Aug. 2, 1947, at St. Bartholomew Church in Chicago.
Mrs. Barrett is the former Helen Sosdian, daughter of the late Matthew and Anna Sosdian.
Mr. Barrett is the son of the late Edward and Ellen Barrett.
He is retired from Rustoleum in Williamsport.
