The DeGranges
Mr. and Mrs. Richard DeGrange of Hagerstown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the Fireside Inn Friday, Oct. 3, 1997, and at Chef's Kitchen Banquet Room Saturday, Oct. 4, 1997.
Family and friends attended.
The DeGranges were married Oct. 3, 1947, at Washington Street Baptist Church in Hagerstown by the Rev. Paul Wattington.
Their children are Nelson Eichelberger, Christy Worthington, Teresa Fitz, Robert DeGrange, Richard DeGrange and the late Joseph L. DeGrange Sr.
Mrs. DeGrange is the former Virginia Lantz.
She retired in 1990 from Washington County Board of Education as a school bus driver with 23 years of service.
She is a homemaker.
Mr. DeGrange retired from Western Maryland Railway as a bookkeeper with 26 years of service.
He also retired as manager for the Woodcraft Shop at Fort Ritchie.
They have 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
