Brenda Lee Westrum, Albert Lea, MN and Brian Wade Underdahl, Jamestown, ND were united in marriage October 27, 2001 during a 3:30 p.m. double ring ceremony at the First Presbyterian Church in Albert Lea.
Pastor Dwight Netzer officiated.
Parents of the couple are Paul and Carolyn Westrum of Albert Lea, MN and Aaron and Ardis Underdahl, Jamestown, ND.
Grandparents of the groom are Alfred and Marge Underdahl, Hebron, ND and Lucille Reidlinger, Scranton, ND.
Robert Blankers, Owatonna, MN and Darcy Netzer, Albert Lea, MN provided the music and candle lighters were Ted Alme and Dave Lein, Jamestown, ND.
Church decorations included tulle and roses on the pews, a unity candle with greens, alter flowers and a vase of roses in memory of Eugene Reidlinger, the bride’s four grandparents and a special friend.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Paul Westrum.
She wore a silk sleeveless satin gown with beading on the shoulder straps, bodice and down the chapel length train.
She wore a waist length veil with silk flowers adorning the comb piece.
She carried a bouquet of red and white roses.
Maid of honor was Darla Hamer, Burnsville, MN.
She wore a long silk satin sleeveless platinum gown with pearls adorning the shoulder straps.
Bridesmaids were Jenny Anfinson and Katie Haase, Albert Lea, MN.
Their gowns were similar to the gown worn by the maid of honor.
Jason Syth, Menomonie Falls, WI was best man and Thane Underdahl, Fargo, ND and Mike Grosz, Grand Forks, ND were attendants.
Ushers were Daren Meier, Faribault, MN, Ted Alme and Dave Lein.
Melody Alme, Jamestown, ND was scripture reader and personal attendants were Dorothy Bliss, St. John, KS and Nancy Krowiorz, Albert Lea, MN.
A wedding reception was held at The American Legion with 130 guests present.
Assisting at the reception were Rhonda Bliss, Denver, CO, Russ and Jan Weinschenk, Rochester, MN, Betty Meier, Murdock, MN, Kim Lein of Jamestown, ND.
Gift attendants were Ross Lein, Jamestown, ND and Mark Schave, Albert Lea, MN.
Bubble attendants were Lori Gesche, Bloomington, MN and Arnita Tostrud, Albert Lea, MN. Videographers were Theresa Harriman and Lisa Johnson, Albert Lea, MN.
The bride is a graduate of Albert Lea High School and Riverland College, Rochester, MN and was employed by Crest Services for the Mentally Handicapped.
The groom is a graduate of Jamestown High School, University of North Dakota, Grand Forks and the South Dakota Vermillon Law School.
He is employed with the United States Army as Captain in the Judge Advocate General’s Corp.
Mr. and Mrs. Underdahl are now at home in Manhattan, Kansas.
Al and Marge Underdahl and Lynn and Karen Underdahl, all of Hebron and Jesse Underdahl, Fargo, attended the wedding.
