The Reeses

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel E. Reese recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Feb. 22, 1997, at a surprise dinner party at Antrim House Family Restaurant.

The event was hosted by their children and grandchildren.

The couple was married Feb. 22, 1947, by the Rev. Berry Plummer, pastor of United Methodist Church in Hagerstown.

Mrs. Reese is the former Mildred Marshall, daughter of the late Bertha and John Marshall.

She was formerly engaged in the nursing field but is now a homemaker.

Mr. Reese is the son of the late Clyde and Mary Reese.

He was employed at Wonder Bread Co. for 15 years, Town N' Country Supermarket for 19 years and is employed part time at McDonald's on Sharpsburg Pike.
