Lee and Virginia Wolf celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Thursday, July 11, 1996.
A party was hosted by their family at Clear Spring American Legion Saturday, July 13, 1996. Many friends and family attended.
The couple was married July 11, 1946, by the Rev. Paul Watlington at the home of the bride's parents, Doc and Katherine Weaver.
Mr. Wolf was a self-employed auto mechanic for 45 years.
Mrs. Wolfe, the former Virginia Weaver Lindsay was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for their business.

(Obituary of Virginia Wolf: "VIRGINIA A. WOLF, 87, of Ravenwood Retirement Home, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Monday, September 27, 2004 at the Washington County Hospital. Born January 6, 1917 in Warren County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Dock and Mary Catherine Weaver. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert H. Lindsay in 1944, and her second husband, Lee H. Wolf on January 9, 1998. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church, and a member of the Vota Vita Sunday School Class. She was a member of the American Legion, Funkstown Post 211 Auxiliary, the Potomac Fish and Game Club Auxiliary, the A.A.R.P., and the Tops Club. She is survived by one son, Robert H. Wolf of Las Vegas, Nevada; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three nieces and three nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Peggy Paylor; one sister, Audrey Stump; and three brothers, Norman Weaver, Loyd Weaver, and William Weaver. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a. m. Friday at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard. Rev. Thom C. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church, 15 High Street, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740.")
