The Eichelbergers
Charlotte and Vernon Eichelberger of Hagerstown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Wednesday, Nov. 27, 1996.
The couple dined with family at Airport Inn. Following dinner, they were surprised by a small gathering of friends at the home of their daughter, Susan Dattilio.
The Eichelbergers' daughters are Dattilio and Patricia Young.
They have three grandchildren.
The Eichelbergers were married Nov. 27, 1946, by the Rev. Frederick D. Eyster at Salem Reformed Church in Hagerstown.
Mrs. Eichelberger, the former Charlotte Shull, retired in 1986 after six years of service from the law office of David K. Poole and after 19 years in the law office of Charles C. Grice.
Mr. Eichelberger also retired in 1986 after 24 years of service at Mack Trucks and 21 years before that at Fairchild Republic Co.
