The Allens
Frank and Jane Allen of Hagerstown were honored on their 50th wedding anniversary, Sunday, Dec. 8, 1996, at Four Points Sheraton Inn in Hagerstown.
The event was hosted by their daughter, Joy, and their son, Scott. Friends and family attended the luncheon.
The Allens were married Dec. 8, 1946, at First Brethren Church in Johnstown, Pa., by the Rev. A.L. Lynn.
Mrs. Allen is the daughter of the late Charlotte and Reichard Bowers.
She was employed at Potomac Edison and later at Fairchild Republic.
Mr. Allen is the son of the late Edna and Frank Quay Allen.
He is a veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific.
He was employed for 40 years as an X-ray technician in the office of the late E.T. Campbell.
They have one granddaughter.
