The Crowleys
Patrick J. and Ruth C. Crowley of Smithsburg celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Howard Johnson Plaza-Hotel in Hagerstown.
The surprise event was hosted by their sons, Pat Jr. and Michael, and their families.
Approximately 50 family members and friends attended from seven states.
The couple was married Jan. 19, 1947, in Greenbrook, N.J.
Mrs. Crowley, the former Ruth C. Dulong, is a homemaker.
Mr. Crowley served in World War II as a combat engineer serving in five campaigns.
He is retired from Mack Trucks after 44 years of service.
The Crowleys have two sons and four grandchildren.
