The Jenkinses
Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Jenkins of Hagerstown were honored at a 50th wedding anniversary party at Elks of Hagerstown, Sunday, Nov. 24, 1996.
The event was hosted by their daughters and their spouses, Cheryl and John Kataline, Carol and Terry Hose and Charlene and Bobby Gearhart.
There were 142 family, friends and relatives in attendance.
Their daughters, who are professionally known as the Jenkins Sisters, played music for dancing.
The couple was married on Dec. 8, 1946 by Rev. G.I. Rider at his residence in Hagerstown.
Mrs. Jenkins is the former Anna Pennesi, daughter of the late Tony and Jenny Pennesi of Hagerstown.
Mr. Jenkins is the son of the late Charles A. and Myrtle V. Jenkins of Hagerstown.
He is a retired foreman for M.P. Moller Co.
The couple have three grandchildren, and one step-grandchild.
