The Crosses

Joe and Pat Cross of Hagerstown celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a party at Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel Jan. 10, 1997.

They were married Jan. 15, 1972.

Mrs. Cross is a homemaker who works part time in school cafeterias.

Mr. Cross is an owner-operator at South Berkeley Hauling.

They have two children, Joe Cross Jr. and Christine Anders.

(Obituary of Joe Cross: "Joe R. Cross Sr., 66, of Falling Waters, WV, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Born Jan. 23, 1950, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Stanley and Louella (Fouche) Cross. Joe started J. P. Trucking Co. in 1988. He enjoyed vacations with his family, and will be remembered as a loving husband, father and Poppy. Joe is survived by his wife of 44 years, Patricia Cross; one daughter, Christine Anders and fiance, Dale Longerbeam; one son, Joe Cross Jr. and wife, Jeany; one sister, Nancy Kane; one brother, Stanley Cross; one half brother, Charles Cross; three grandchildren, Shianne Anders, Kyle Saunders and Sierra Anders; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Cross and Donnie Cross. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2016, at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown, MD. Rev. Robert J. Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park with military honors provided by the Joint Veterans Council of Washington County. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.")
