The Mostowys
Walter and Marie Mostowy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Oct. 5, 1996, at Fireside Restaurant in Hagerstown.
They have given each other new wedding bands, renewing their vows.
Mr. Mostowy is a veteran of World War II and a graduate of Carnegie Tech in Pittsburgh.
He worked on the Polaris missile at Allegany Ballistics Laboratory, in Pinto, W.Va., and retired from Kelly Springfield Co. in Cumberland, Md.
Mrs. Mostowy graduated from University of Pittsburgh.
The couple has two children and five grandchildren.
They reside in Williamsport.

(Obituary of Marie Mostowy: "MARIE AGNES MOSTOWY, 83, of 16831 Tammany Manor Road, Williamsport, Maryland, died Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Washington County Hospital. Born December 14, 1924 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Ludwig and Venonica Urban. She attended the University of Pittsburgh. She was a member of St Joseph's Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Walter H. Mostowy; one daughter, Marlene Hersh of Hagerstown, Maryland; one son Walter L. Mostowy; one sister, Sally Ricord of North Hollywood, CA. Services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
