The Nallys
Paul Z. and Jennie Nally were honored on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, Sept. 29, 1996.
A mass of celebration was officiated by the Rev. Edward Manalis at St. Ann Catholic Church, where the couple renewed their wedding vows.
A dinner-dance reception at Knights of Columbus hall was hosted by their three sons and their wives, Paul and Nancy Nally of Hagerstown, and Donald and Dawn Nally and Anthony and Kim Nally, of Boonsboro.
The Nallys were married at St. Mary's Church in Hagerstown, June 22, 1946, by the Rev. Charles Dausch.
Mr. Nally is retired from Mack Trucks Inc. and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mrs. Nally worked 10 years at Fairchild Industries before becoming a homemaker.
The Nallys have one granddaughter and one grandson.

(Obituary of Jennie Nally: "JENNIE SURANNO NALLY, 96, formerly of Naples Drive, Hagerstown, Maryland, went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 18, 2013. Born April 3, 1917 in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Mitrione Suranno. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Z. Nally, Sr., July 15, 2009, whom she married on June 22, 1946. Jennie was previously employed with Fairchild Aircraft and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. She is survived by three sons, Paul Z. Nally, Jr. and wife Nancy of Hagerstown, Donald N. Nally and wife Dawn of Hagerstown and Anthony C. Nally and wife Kim of Boonsboro; two brothers, Michael A. Suranno and Joseph Suranno; two grandchildren, Sara Dorsey and husband Jeremy and Keith Overdorff and wife Erin; brother in law Nevin Nally and wife Barbara; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Julia T. Martin Beall and Rose Mazzo; two sisters in laws, Virginia Suranno and Jane Mellott and three brothers in law Arthur Mellott, Paul Beall and Frank Martin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1525 Oak Hill Avenue, Hagerstown, MD, with the Rev. George A. Limmer as celebrant. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Blvd., Tuesday, May 21, 2013, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.")

Born September 2, 1923 in Hagerstown he is the son of the late Charles R. and Beulah Litten Nally. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is retired from Mack Truck. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus (4th Degree), Mack Golden Bulldogs and the Funkstown American Legion.He is survived by his wife, Jennie Suranno Nally whom he married June 22, 1946; three sons, Paul Z. Nally, Jr and wife Nancy of Hagerstown, Donald N. Nally and wife Dawn of Hagerstown and Anthony C. Nally and wife Kim of Boonsboro; one sister, Jane E. Mellott of Hagerstown; a brother, Nevin E.
