Mr. and Mrs. Percy J. Pryor were recently honored for their 60th wedding anniversary.
Their family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren joined them at Sunday services at Christ Lutheran Church.
A party was given Sunday, Sept. 15 at Richardson's Restaurant by their children, Shirley and Charles Cunningham, Gary and Jean Pryor, Sandy and Ken Graber and Angela Gum. Many friends joined them.
Mr. and Mrs. Pryor were married Sept 12, 1936, at Trinity Lutheran Church by Pastor Simon.
Mr. Pryor was a self-employed plumber for many years.
Mrs. Pryor, the former Thelma Stouffer, is a homemaker and helped with the business.

(Obituary of Thelma Pryor: "Thelma Louise Pryor, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Jan. 23, 2004, at Washington County Hospital. She joined her husband of 62 years, Percy J. Pryor, who went home March 21, 1998. She resided in Smithsburg with her daughter, Sandy Graber, and Sandy's husband, Ken, who were her caregivers for the past three years. She was born March 9, 1917, in Bridgeport, Md. Her parents were Sallie Betts Stouffer and Clyde Stouffer. She graduated from Hagerstown High School. She was secretary for P.J. Pryor and Son Plumbing and Heating for many years. She was a charter member of the Bridgeport Homemaker Club. She bowled on the Homemaker Bowling League for 25 years, receiving many awards and trophies. She was a member of AMVETS Post 10 and Funkstown Post 211 American Legion Auxiliary. She was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church, starting when it was the Liberty Street Chapel under Pastor Burger. She was very active in the church when she was younger. She taught Sunday school for 40 years, taught Vacation Bible School and sang in the choir. She is survived by her three children, Shirley Cunningham of Maugansville, Md., Sandy Graber of Smithsburg and Gary Pryor of Hagerstown, Md., who loved her dearly; a brother, George W. Stouffer of Hagerstown; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister, Dorothy Sheppard, and brothers Robert Stouffer, Edward Stouffer and Aldean Stouffer. Mother and Betty Haugh enjoyed watching Gaither Videos together and being friends. Mother and Madylen Keller enjoyed day trips and breakfast out. Mother and Dad enjoyed traveling. They had taken many trips together by plane, ship, bus and car. They spent many winters in Florida. They enjoyed Richardson's Restaurant and usually went for breakfast and Sunday after church. They had lived at 317 S. Potomac St. for many years and spent time at their place at the river. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Revs. Raymond H. Shriver, Thomas L. Perry and James Pryor will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests the omission of flowers.
