The Carrolls
Mr. and Mrs. David L. Carroll celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends at a surprise party at Eagles Club ballroom in Hagerstown, Sunday, March 10, 1996.
The event was hosted by their sons, Jack Cushwa, his wife, Pam, Jerry Carroll and his wife, Judy, George Carroll and his wife, Pam, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
This was a double celebration with Mr. Carroll's sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Paul Brown, who were married March 16, 1946.
There were approximately 100 relatives and friends in attendance from the Tri-State area.
The Carrolls were married at Grace United Brethren Church in Hagerstown by the Rev. G.I. Rider March 7, 1946.
Mrs. Carroll is the former Mary Catherine Polly Cushwa of Hagerstown.
She retired from Hesse Oil Co. in 1983.
Mr. Carroll retired from M.P. Moller Organ Co. in 1987 after 41 years of service.
He is a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy.
The couple has six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
