Mr. and Mrs. John Warren Kindt of champaign, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hugh Wiggins of Cartersville announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Wiggins, to Adam Thompson Baker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Baker of Fayetteville.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the former Governor and Mrs. George Dekle Busbee of Duluth and Mr. and Mrs. John Robert Wiggins of Valdosta.
A graduate of Collins Hill High School in Suwannee, she will receive her bachelor of science degree in family and consumer science education from the University of Georgia in May, 2004.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Baker of Troy, Ala., Mrs. Rexine J. Lee of Dothan, Ala., and the late Gene C. Lee.
He is a 1999 graduate of Fayette County High School and a graduate of the University of Georgia in Athens with a bachelor of business administration degree in real estate.
He is employed by Jacoby Development in Atlanta.
The wedding will be May 22, 2004, at New Hope Baptist, South Campus, in Fayetteville.
Following a honeymoon to Costa Rica, the couple will reside in Atlanta.
