Dr. and Mrs. Tom Grant Jr. of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Velvet Marie Grant, to Michael Jackson Graybeal, son of Diane Graybeal of Newnan.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Ron and Nita Thiem of Fayetteville and Tom and Ave Grant of Coral Springs, Fla.

She is a 2003 graduate of Fayette County High School and currently is employed at Grant Chiropractic as a chiropractic assistant.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Jack Young and Evelyn Young of East Point and Ronnie and Aleksandra Graybeal of Riverton, Utah.

He currently is attending Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, for business management.

He works as the marketing director for Grant Chiropractic.

The wedding will be June 5, 2004, in the Atlanta Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
