ALLIANCE - Marne Marie Merrigan, daughter of Joni and Tony Merrigan of Alliance, was married to Scott Charles Van Dyke, son of William and Jean Van Dyke of Springfield, in an evening candlelight wedding at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with Fr. Bryan Ernest officiating.
Organist Yvonne Ostry accompanied vocalists Kim Merrigan and Eric Vath who sang "I Will Be There," "The Prayer" and "Ave Maria".
Brady Eve Potthoff and Shalee Merrigan, cousins of the bride were candlelighters.
The bride, escorted by her parents, wore a white matte satin princess line gown adorned with beaded Schiffli-embroidered lace designed by L'amour.
She carried a bouquet of orange roses, orange lilies and white stephanotis.
The maid of honor was Beth Taylor of Omaha, cousin of the bride.
Bride's maids were Kelly Fritzler and Amanda Anderson of Omaha, Sheri Daniels of Chadron and Nicole Van Dyke of Omaha, sister of the groom.
The Best Man was Mike Hogue of Lincoln, cousin of the groom.
Groomsmen were Nate Newville of Kansas City, Kan., Shannon Stenger of Kearney, cousin of the groom, Heath and Cuinn Merrigan of Lincoln, brothers of the bride.
Honored guests were Alyce Taylor of Alliance and H.J. and Eve Merrigan of Scottsbluff, grandparents of the bride.
A buffet dinner and dance reception at the American Legion Club followed the ceremony.
The couple resides at Lincoln.
