Cook - Smith
Rebecca Cook and Dan Smith, both of Omaha, were married Saturday, May 2, 1998, at Country Bible Church in Blair. Rev. Chuck Larsen officiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony.
Parents of the bride are James and Priscilla Smith of Blair. The bridegroom's parents are Peggy and Steve Howard of Blair and Bill and Joyce Smith of Apache Junction, Ariz.
The bride wore a floor length white satin gown featuring a sheer material with pearls and sequins at the neck and sleeves. The body of the dress was white satin with sequins and pearls forming flowers and decorating the gown. The 10 - foot train was decorated with pearls and sequins with cut work applique' around the bottom edge. She wore a head piece of satin flowers, pearls and beads forming a circle and white netting accented with small pearls. She carried a bouquet of white roses, purple iris, Delphi, white orchids, daisies and white lisianthis with purple tips.
The bridegroom wore a full dress black tuxedo with tails, a deep purple patterned vest and black button cover.
The matron of honor was Amy Stephens. Bridesmaids were the bride's sister - in - law, Kate Cook; the groom's sister, Niki Wulf; the bride's cousin, Elayne Elliott, Rachel Downs and Tonia Harper. They wore floor length satin and chiffon gowns in alternating colors of emerald green and deep purple.
The attendants carried bouquets of purple and white lisianthis, purple and white iris, delphi, daisies and baby's breath.
The flower girl was Courtney Erixon. She wore an ankle length satin dress in cream with small purple satin flowers on the bodice.
Nate Smith served as best man for his brother. The groomsmen were Chris Satterfield; Steve Wehrli; David Cook, brother of the bride; Mike Tatreau and Derick Austin. They wore full dress black Oscar de la Renta tuxedos with vests and bow ties in alternating patterns of emerald green and deep purple.
The ring bearer was Quinton Smith. He wore a tuxedo similar to the bridegroom's.
A reception followed at the Blair Fire Hall.
The Smiths are at home in Omaha after a honeymoon to Branson, Mo.
Rebecca is a bookkeeper for Terminix International in Omaha. She is a 1992 graduate of Blair High School.
Dan is a sign fabricator for Bright Ideas in Omaha. He is a 1996 graduate of Blair High School.
