Kellys to celebrate fortieth Anniversary
Daniel and Lorraine Kelly will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Aug. 8, 1998, in Fort Calhoun.
A mass will be conducted at 5 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
An open house reception and dance will immediately follow the mass in the church social hall.
Hosts for the event are the couple's children, Carolyn and Mike Abels of Burlington, Colo., and Wendy and Jim Hooyboer of Watrous, N.M., and the grandchildren and great - grandchildren.
Msgr. Edward O'Donnell at St. John the Baptist married the former Lorraine Raymond Holman and the intrepid bridegroom on Aug. 16, 1958.
Lorraine was employed at Carpenter Paper Company in Omaha as a contomiter operator.
Dan was self - employed on the family farm in the Garryowen area of southeast Washington County.
They have spent their lives on the same homestead first begun by Dan's great - grandfather after his emigration from Ireland.
