Kirk is the daughter of Bette and Homer King of Newman Grove and Wayne Kirk of Omaha.
She is a graduate of Albion High School and Wayne State College.
She teaches first grade at St. Boniface School in Elgin.
Labenz is the son of Rosemary Labenz of Albion and the late Raymond Labenz.
He is an Albion High School graduate and is employed as a salesman at Kayton International in Albion.
