Michelle Viglietta and Timothy Michael Joyce were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2002 at St. Joseph Cathedral, Wheeling, with the Rev. Louis Bonacci, S.J., officiating the ceremony.
Parents of the bride are Joseph and Eileen Viglietta of Wheeling.
Parents of the groom are Michael and Cindi Joyce of Erie, Pa.
Corinne Viglietta was maid of honor. Mary Beth Mudric was matron of honor.
Other attendants were Lisa Miehle, Tara Morcone, Francesca Viglietta, Rob Joyce, Joseph Viglietta, Tom McDermott, Tom Camillo and Timothy Mudric.
A reception was held at Stratford Springs, Wheeling.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and a 1999 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry. She is a fourth-year graduate student pursuing a doctoral degree in chemistry at Duke University.
The groom is a 1995 graduate of Cathedral Preparatory School, Erie, and a 1999 graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering. Upon completion of his studies at Notre Dame, he accepted a commission in the Navy. He is assigned to the nuclear-powered submarine USS Jacksonville stationed in Norfolk, Va.
They will take a wedding trip to Belize.
