Lauritsen - Wrieth
Amanda Lauritsen and Mitchell Wrieth, both of Blair, were married on Aug. 16, 1997 at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Rev. Kenneth McClain officiated at the 4 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Linda Lauritsen of Kennard. Wrieth is the son of Donald and Jackie Wrieth and Nancy Lawson of Omaha.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Arlington High School. She works at Specialized Insurance.
Wrieth is a 1994 graduate of Blair High School. He works for Blair Glass and is self - employed with Wrieth Lawn Care.
The bride's father gave her away.
Serving as maid of honor was Abby Lauritsen of Kennard. Bridesmaids were Jessica Lauritsen of Kennard, Patty Scott and Amy Stodola of Blair and Lyndsey Heinsley of Omaha.
Jennifer Jensen and Amanda Welchert were flower girls. Carrying the rings were Cody and Levi Gorsett.
Donald Wrieth, Jr., of Omaha served as best man. The groomsmen were Scott Hirchert and Mike Shotwell of Omaha, Brad Carson of Blair and Greg Lyons of Wisconsin.
Ushering the guests were Scott Rubeck and Chris Ryan, both of Blair.
Laurie Deane of Arlington played the organ and Heidi Keiser of Arlington sang.
The bride wore a pearl and sequin - adorned gown with an open back in a heart shape with an embroidered train. She carried a bouquet of wine roses, white carnations and assorted daisies made by her mother.
The attendants wore ankle - length, wine - colored satin dresses with open backs. They carried three wine roses bunched with black mesh and dangling beads of white, wine and black.
The men wore black tuxedos with wine and black vests and bow ties.
The reception followed at the Blair Fire Hall. Assisting with the cake were Holli Hirchert and Kris Welchert. Pearl Thunn poured the coffee and punch.
Mirinda Timm and Roni Austin were in charge of the guest book. Nerissa Timm assisted with the gifts.
The couple is at home in Blair after a wedding trip to Colorado.
