The parents of Jared Yargus and Kristen Miller have announced the engagement of their children.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Scott and Donna Yargus of Hannibal and Robin and Jerry Keith of Ottawa, Kan.
He is the grandson of Johnetta Paup of Columbia.
The prospective bride is the daughter of Kent and Patricia Miller of Canton.
She is the granddaughter of Lester and Leta Hoffman and Glenn Miller, all of Canton.
The wedding is planned for Aug. 9, 2003 at the Canton Christian Church followed by a reception in Hannibal.
