Sieck 56th anniversary
Ervin and Donna Sieck of Seward will celebrate their 56th wedding anniversary on Sunday, June 29, 2003, and a card shower is planned in their honor.
They were married June 29, 1947, at Pleasant Dale's Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Their children are Jerry and Susan Sieck of Lincoln and Gary and Joanne Sieck of Rochester, Minn.

(Obituary of Ervin Sieck: "Ervin August Sieck was born December 11, 1911 on the farm near Pleasant Dale to Fred and Dorothea (Piening) Sieck and passed away on November 18, 2005 in Seward at the age of 93 years, 11 months, 7 days. He attended School District # 64 and graduated from Pleasant Dale High School in 1927. He worked on the family farm for several years before going to work at the ASCS Office in Seward in 1940. In 1941, Ervin joined the Jones National Bank in Seward, retiring from the bank 43 years later in 1984 as Senior Vice President. Ervin joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 1942 returning home in December of 1945. On June 29, 1947 Ervin was united in marriage to Alta Donnabelle Norman in Pleasant Dale and they made their home in Seward. They were blessed with twin sons, Gary and Jerry in October 1948. Ervin was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and School Board and served for many years as church treasurer. He was also a member of VFW Post No. 4755, American Legion, a 50-year member of the Seward Volunteer Fire Department, Seward Rotary Club, Seward Chamber of Commerce and the Seward Country Club. Ervin was an avid Nebraska Football fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Dorothea Sieck, his brothers, Fred Sieck, Jr. and Albert Sieck and sisters, Hanna Meusborn, Minnie Ficke and Amanda Lindner. Ervin is survived by his wife, Donna Sieck, sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Gary C. and Joanne Sieck, Rochester, MN and Jerry E. and Susan Sieck, Lincoln; grandchildren, Dr. Christian and Elizabeth Sieck, Jessica Sieck, Jonathan Sieck, Dylan Sieck, Chloe Sieck, great-grandchildren, Sam Sieck, Sadie Sieck, Lucy Sieck; special friend, Charlotte Murphy, Seward; sisters-in-law, Betty Rietfors, Denton, Lois Norman, Lincoln; several nephews and nieces and a host of friends.")
