Hayek - Carley
Kristi Hayek and Matthew Carley were united in marriage July 26, 2014, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cordova, Neb. with the Rev. Brian Tuma officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Ron and Marilyn Hayek of Friend.
The groom is the son of Kay Carley of Dalton and the late Gordon L. Carley.
The maid of honor was Sandi Hayek of Great Bend, Kan. Bridesmaids were Meredith McQuay of Alma and Heather Hoops of Lincoln.
Personal attendants were Kendra Kuti of Muscat, Oman and Sarah Wall of Schuyler.
The best man was Joey Lefdal of Yankton, South Dakota.
Groomsmen were Bryan McQuay of Alma and Mark Carley of Dalton.
Ushers were Darrel Hayek of Friend, Dale Hayek of Dorchester, and Nick Heidtbrink of Round Lake, Ill.
The flower girls were Hailey and Brooke Heidtbrink of Round Lake, Ill., and Imogene Cangialosi of Hoffman Estates, Ill.
Guestbook attendants were Janessa Carley of Dalton and Peyton McQuay of Alma.
Program attendants were Jeremy Carley of Dalton and Grant McQuay of Alma.
Music for the ceremony was provided by organist, Velma Lutz of Goehner; soloist, Sandi Hayek; and pianist, Gail Effken of Friend.
Following the ceremony, a reception, dinner, and dance took place at Stone Creek Event Center in McCool Junction.
The host couple for the reception was Terry and Diane O'Neel of Friend and cake table attendants were Jackie Carley of Dalton, Elizabeth Heidtbrink of Chicago and Katherine Cangialosi of Hoffman Estates, Ill.
Kristi graduated from Friend High School and is a Concordia University-Nebraska alumna. She now serves as a Program Officer at Humanities Nebraska, a statewide non-profit organization.
Matt graduated from Leyton High School and is a Chadron State College alumnus.
He now works for Shelby-Rising City Public Schools as Technology Director and a high school social studies teacher.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Central Europe.
They currently live in Seward.
