Jonathan Klentz, Melisa Hunt
Melisa Kristine Hunt and Jonathan Scott Klentz were united in marriage in Wauneta on Sept. 15, 2012.
Parents of the couple are the Rev. Gary and Becky Hunt of Wauneta, Scott Klentz of Bentonville, Ark., and Mary Klentz of Lyndon, Kan.
Grandparents of the bride are Rev. Lavern and Zoe Hunt of Pueblo, Colo., and Richard and Ruth Graf of Grawn, Mich.
Grandparents of the groom are Larry and Evelyn Wilmoth of Gravette, Ark., Carl and Irene Klentz of Huntington, Ark., Nancy Bryant of Mitchell, S.D., and the late Kenneth Bryant.
Rev. Lavern Hunt, grandfather of the bride, officiated at the evening outdoor ceremony.
The bride was escorted by her father down an aisle bordered with tiki torches lit by the bride’s sisters, Krystal and Julie Hunt. The couple repeated their vows under an arbor that was made by the father of the bride.
The bride’s father surprised his daughter with a poem he had written for her as he gave her away.
Songs, sung by Andy Kline and Ruthy Mertzwiller during the ceremony, were “Butterfly Kisses” and “Never Alone.”
The couple surprised each other with songs, “He Gave Me You,” sung by the groom and “It Was God Who Brought You to Me,” written and sung by the bride.
Pianist for the ceremony was Becky Arnold, aunt of the groom.
Serving as maid of honor was the bride’s sister, Leanne Hunt. Bridesmaids were Krystal and Julie Hunt, sisters of the bride; Katie Newton and Ruthy Mertzwiller, cousins of the bride and Megan Kline, friend of the bride.
Serving as best man was the groom’s brother, Benjamin Klentz. Groomsmen were Lance Bryant and Travis Bryant, cousins of the groom and John Hunt, brother of the bride.
Flower girl was Eva Kline, friend of the couple and Biblebearer was Kolson Kline, cousin of the groom.
Ushers were Aaron Dorman and Titus Dorman, cousins of the bride.
The guest book attendant was Evangeline Klentz, sister of the groom.
Coordinator for the wedding was Elenor Graf, aunt of the bride. Videographers were Mark Graf, uncle of the bride and Aaron Dorman, cousin of the bride.
A reception followed the ceremony at the American Legion Hall. Host and hostess for the reception were Van and Pam Dorman, uncle and aunt of the bride. The emcee was Ron Arnold, uncle of the groom.
The three-tier wedding cake was made by the mother of the bride.
Head server was Johanna Klentz, sister of the groom and servers were Kayla Graf, Kristen Dorman and Judy Hunt, cousins of the bride, Evangeline Klenz, sister of the groom and Dawn Hebner, friend of the bride’s family.
The evening ended with a farewell to the couple by a sparkler archway.
The couple reside in Wauneta where the groom is employed at Harchelroad Motors and the bride is employed at Chase County Community Hospital.
