Ashley Kitt, David Spahn
Ashley Pearl Kitt and David Lee Spahn were united in marriage Saturday, May 5, 2012, in the courtyard of the Stone Creek Event Center in McCool Junction, Neb.
Pastor Paul Blanchard of the Central City United Methodist Church officiated the ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Keenan and Tina Kitt of Wauneta and Tom and Vicki Spahn of Brule and Becky Spahn of Casper, Wyo.
Grandparents of the couple are Joan Kitt of Wauneta, Sandra Brunkhorst of Trenton, Jim and Terri Stovern of Wolf Point, Mont., and Euverda Plucknett of Casper, Wyo.
The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, wore an ivory, hand-stitched Chantilly lace gown by Enzoani. She carried a bouquet of ivory antique roses.
Nephews of the groom, Kashtyn Fosher, Carter Colgate and Braden Colgate, preceded the bride down the aisle with “words of encouragement” for the groom.
Cousin of the bride, Mandi Kramer, served the bride as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included cousins of the bride, Cassie Kohl and Maddie Henning, and friends of the bride, Loni Watson, Andrea Carder and Lindsey Oldaker.
Jamie Johnson, friend of the bride, served as the bride’s personal attendant.
Tyler Bartlett, friend of the groom, served the groom as best man. Groomsmen included the groom’s brother, Aaron Goold, the bride’s brothers, Kyle Kitt and John Kitt, and friends of the groom, Wade Betschart and Chase Johnson.
Mykael Pirner, cousin of the bride, greeted guests and served as the guest book attendant. Tom and Candy Henning, uncle and aunt of the bride, Fred and Deb Gleason, friends of the groom, and Evan and Cindy Wecker, friends of the groom, served as host couples for the evening.
Friends and family joined the couple for drinks, dinner and dancing to the sounds of the Mighty Nish Band at the Stone Creek Event Center reception hall which was decorated in peacock-inspired hues of green, blue and purple floral arrangements by Shanan Pollmann of Wauneta.
Following the wedding the couple honeymooned in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
The couple has recently relocated to western Nebraska and is currently in the process of making their home near Haigler.
The groom is the manager of the Benkelman Gavilon Grain facility and the bride recently opened her own law office in Benkelman, the Law Office of Ashley K. Spahn.
