Jenny Hamilton and Bryan Gibbs
Jenny Hamilton, formerly of Hayes Center, Neb., and Bryan Gibbs, formerly of Garden City, Kan., were united in marriage on July 10, 2010, at St. James Catholic Church in Kearney, Neb., with Father Joe Hannappel officiating.
Parents of the bride are James and Lesa Johnson of Hayes Center and Dave and Kerry Hamilton of Wauneta, Neb.
Parents of the bridegroom are Steve and Terri Nutt of Garden City and Michael Gibbs of Haxtun, Colo.
Grandparents of the bride are Bob and Alta Keating of Palisade, Neb., Bob and Clara Hamilton and Tom and Sharon Miller, both of Wauneta, and the late Earl and Ruth Johnson of Hayes Center.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Bob Eastin of Evans, Colo., and the late Jeannie Eastin, Howard and Helen Gibbs of Haxtun, Colo., and Wayne and Frieda Nutt of Dickens.
The maids of honor were sisters of the bride, Alisha Johnson of Trenton and Shelby Hamilton of Wauneta. The bridesmaids were friends of the couple, Melissa Baumbach of Kearney, Amy Frecks of Brewster, and Triniti Williams of Greeley, Colo. The flower girls were cousins of the bride, Mandy and Lilian Sandoval of Wauneta. The bride’s personal attendant was her sister-in-law-to-be, Holly Dack of Palisade.
The bride wore a taffeta A-line ball gown in a champagne color with the top made of beaded sequin and embroidered detail with a lace-up back and a cathedral train. The bridesmaids wore teal taffeta gowns with a draped bodice and a flared swing skirt.
The flower girls wore satin organza dresses with sequin embroidered flower detail that accompanied the elegance of the bride’s gown.
The best man was brother of the bridegroom Brandon Gibbs of Dodge City, Kan. The bridegroomsmen were brother-in-law-to-be of the bride Levi Lucero of Trenton, friend of the couple Todd Baumbach of Kearney, and brother of the bride Justin Hamilton of Palisade.
The ring bearers were nephew of the bride, Ashton Johnson of Trenton and nephew of the bridegroom, Treyden Eastin of Holcomb, Kan.
The ushers were brothers of the bride Blaine Johnson of Milford and Tristan Johnson of Hayes Center. The guestbook and program attendants were friends of the couple, Laura Gohl of Culbertson and Paula Blaylock of Lincoln. Scripture readers during the ceremony were grandparents of the bride Bob and Alta Keating of Palisade. The soloist for the lighting of the unity candle was friend of the couple Darci Boyer of Omaha.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds were escorted to Kearney’s Harmon Park where the couple was first engaged. Photographer and aunt of the bride, Teresa Maddux of Platteville, Colo., was along to capture this joyous occasion.
The reception was held at the beautiful Minden Opera House in Minden. The reception attendants were aunt of the bride Mary Nielsen of Merriman, cousins of the bride Tammi Ahrens of Ravenna and Crystal Staley of Kearney, aunt of the bride Evelyn McGregor of Elsie, and friend of the bride Jo Werkmeister of Maywood.
The three-tier cake and matching cupcakes were made by sister of the bride Alisha Johnson. Mints were made by aunt of the bride Evelyn McGregor.
The bride graduated from Hayes Center High School in 2005, and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in interior design. She is the project coordinator and interior decorator for Moore Construction, Inc. in Kearney.
The bridegroom graduated from Garden City High School in Kansas in 2005. Shortly after graduation, he hired onto the Union Pacific Railroad and is currently stationed out of Grand Island as a brakeman.
The couple has recently built a new home in Kearney’s Parkview Estates.
