Amy Cox, Joseph Frecks
Amy Cox of Hayes Center, Neb., and Joseph Frecks of Culbertson, Neb., were united in marriage on July 17, 2010, at Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook with the Rev. Lance Clay officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mick and Marlene Cox of Hayes Center and Mark and Nancy Frecks of Culbertson. Grandparents of the bride are Robert and Norma Karre and Darrel and Norma Cox, all of Hayes Center. Grandparents of the bridegroom are Nora Lewis of McCook, the late Robert J. Lewis, Pauline Frecks of Culbertson, and the late Alvere “Butch” Frecks.
The maids of honor were sisters of the bride, Molly and Sarah Cox of Hayes Center. The bridesmaids were sisters-in-law of the bride Camie, Ashli, and Amanda Cox, all of Hayes Center, niece of the bride, Colby Cox of Hayes Center, Ashley Greenhaw of Aurora, Colo., Alicia Klein of Hastings, Neb., and sister of the groom, Sarah Frecks of Omaha, Neb. The bride’s personal attendants were Kelsy Brown of North Platte, Neb., Hannah Brott of Hayes Center, and Jillian Andreasen of Hastings.
The best man was brother of the groom, Isaac Frecks of Alma, Neb. The bridegroomsmen were Todd Bauer of Culbertson, Dexter Lacey of Ogallala, Neb., Garrett Rippen of Denver, Colo., Andrew McDonald and Justin Huss, both of Culbertson, Bryce Cook and Brandt Hagan, both of Kearney, and Brett Brown of North Platte. The honorary bridegroomsmen were Mackenzie Hemje and Eddie Krajicek, both of Omaha, Blake Horstmann of Hastings, Jared Thomsen of Brainard, Neb., William Keesee of Hastings, Scott Fritz of Lincoln, Neb., Jeff Klug of Waverly, Neb., and Jordan Conner of Hastings.
The flower girls were nieces of the bride, Cali, Peyton, Kesli, Mesa, and Harli Cox, and Grace Colgan. The ring bearers were nephews of the bride, Kyler and Braydon Cox.
The ushers were brothers of the bride, Matthew, Toby, and Jason Cox, all of Hayes Center, cousin of the bride, Nicholas Cox of North Platte, Nathan Brott of Hayes Center, and Lane Broz of Kearney.
The candlelighter was cousin of the bride, Alicea Cox of Hays, Kan.
The guest book and program attendants and honorary bridesmaids were Aimee Hazlitt of McCook, Jenny Gibbs of Kearney, Mary Gohl of Cozad, Neb., and Dove Messersmith of Ogallala.
The soloist was Kayla Laird of Bloomington, Ill.
A reception took place at the Republican River Valley Event Center in McCook. The cake servers were Kayla Wilson of McCook, and Kayla Bauer of Culbertson.
The bride graduated from Hayes Center High School in 2005, and graduated from Hastings College in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is attending the University of Nebraska at Kearney as a student in elementary education.
The bridegroom graduated from Hayes Center High School in 2006 and graduated from Hastings College in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education. He works at Sandhills High School in Dunning, Neb., as a K-12 physical education teacher.
The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and resides in Brewster, Neb.
