Tick Johnsons to observe 50th anniversary
Tick and Joy Johnson will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at the Mark Baptist Church on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002, at 2 p.m.
Edsel DeWayne "Tick" Johnson and Elizabeth Joy York were married Dec. 7, 1952, at the Mark Baptist Church by Rev. Quentin Johnson.
Tick is a farmer and wool buyer, Joy is a homemaker.
The couple has five daughters, Brenda Wilson and Jill Felice of Kirksville, Mo.; Beth Fittro of Springfield, Mo.; Janell Pottorff of Hudson, Wis. and Danita Roberts of Bloomfield.
They have nine living grandchildren, three are deceased.
The reception will be at the new church building at the junction of J51 and Highway 63.
The couple requests not gifts but your presence.
