John and Edie Hamilton of Hannibal have announced the engagement of their daughter, Cara M. Hamilton, to Scott A. Fohey.
He is the son of Dennis and Billie Fohey of Hannibal.
The prospective bride is a 2000 graduate of Hannibal High School.
She will be attending Missouri University-Columbia in the fall 2005, to become a registered dietitian.
She is employed as a receptionist and dental assistant at Kirksville Dental Group.
The prospective bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Hannibal High School.
He will graduate this fall from Truman State University with a bachelor of science degree in health science and will receive his degree in secondary education in December 2005.
He is employed by El Kadir Shrine Club.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 2, at Clover Road Christian Church in Hannibal.
