Damon and Janice Gregory and their family invite you to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Hawesville Methodist Church Family Life Center, 360 Main Street, Hawesville, KY from 2-5:00 p.m. CST.
Finger foods and cake will be served at the celebration.
Damon Gregory and Janice Ross were married June 6, 1964 at the Irvington Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Irvington, KY.
The only attendants were Pamela Miller Polluck and Adrian Basham.
The Rev. Frank Blain preformed the ceremony.
They took a short honeymoon trip through Kentucky, Ohio and West Virginia, and then returned to their new trailer in Hudson, KY.
Early careers for Damon and Janice were with Houtchens Market in Leitchfield, Irvington and Hardinsburg.
The grocery chain expanded into Lewisport where Damon was promoted into store management.
This promotion moved their family to Hancock County.
Once established in the county, Janice began her 30-year career in banking.
Damon retired from the grocery and has spent the past 24 years with Domtar Paper.
On his days off, he also enjoys his woodworking and his on-line music businesses.
The Gregory’s have three children, Brad (Michelle) Gregory of Lewisport, Dana (Trace) Kirkwood of Bowling Green and Deana (Jesse) Emmick of Lewisport.
They also have 5 grandchildren, Kayley and Adam Gregory, Sylvia and Parkman Kirkwood and Curtis Emmick.
